SALEM, Va. (WDBJ) – The Yokohama tire manufacturing plant in Salem closed Wednesday, March 18, 2026, leaving nearly 400 people out of a job.
Yokohama says the closure was in response to the facility being “not well equipped to manufacture Yokohama’s required product mix or achieve the company’s manufacturing objectives in the future.”
