Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia celebrated the 114th birthday of Girl Scouts with a special public gathering at the historic First Headquarters, located at 330 Drayton Street in Savannah on Thursday, March 12th.
The celebration took place at the very site where the first Girl Scout troop meetings were held, honoring the movement’s founding in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low. Community members, volunteers, alumni, supporters, and families were invited to stand where the first Girl Scouts stood and reflect on more than a century of courage, confidence, and character.
The Morning’s Program included a Coffee Reception, a tribute to the founding and legacy of the First Headquarters, a live birthday celebration broadcast on Facebook, and a commemorative address by the honorable Krystal Crawford, chief executive officer of Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia.
