LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Students and staff at Lexington Catholic High School are mourning the loss of a junior who died Tuesday night.
School officials announced that Eli Sloan died on March 17, prompting an outpouring of grief across the school community in Lexington.

In a message shared on social media, school leaders asked for prayers and support for Sloan’s family, students, and the wider school community.
“We asked that all keep Eli’s family, our students, and the entire Lexington Catholic community in your thoughts and prayers during this time of deep loss,” school officials wrote.
To honor his memory, the school held a private Mass on Wednesday out of respect for students and the solemn nature of the moment.
