Man beaten with pistol during attempted robbery in southwest Houston

Houston police are investigating after a man in his 50s was seriously injured during an attempted robbery in southwest Houston Tuesday night.

Officers with the Houston Police Department responded to reports of a robbery in progress in the 6100 block of Glenmont Drive around 9:45 p.m.

When officers arrived, the victim told police he was walking in the area when a suspect, believed to be in his late teens, around 17 or 18 years old, approached him and demanded his wallet…
