On “X,” the Douglas County Sheriff says shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday, Deputies responded to a call for a dog in distress in the area of 228th and Harney Streets, just south of Waterloo.
When they arrived, they were told a dog had fallen through the ice on the lake and was treading water.
