Council Bluffs homeless shelter launches program to clear encampments, restore purpose for guests

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A local homeless shelter is offering a new way to clean up encampments across the metro while giving its guests a sense of purpose.

Jacob Roth worked 40 to 60 hours a week for about five years before health complications changed everything.

“Couldn’t pay my rent, so for the first time in my life I was homeless,” Roth said.
