JBS strike enters day 3 with press conference near corporate offices

GREELEY, Colo. — On the third day of a strike involving about 3,800 workers at one of the nation’s largest meatpacking plants, union leaders and employees gathered on Wednesday for a press conference near the corporate offices of JBS USA.

The strike began on Monday morning at the JBS plant in Greeley, where workers have been picketing near the facility’s main entrance.

Chants of “Sí, se puede,” or “Yes, we can,” echoed throughout the demonstration, reflecting ongoing solidarity among workers. On Wednesday, those chants extended beyond the plant itself as leaders from UFCW Local 7, the union representing the workers, held a press conference outside corporate offices, roughly 20 minutes away from the facility…
