I firmly believe that sushi is one of the greatest foods on the face of this earth. It is simple, flavorful, and somehow always leaves you wanting more. Not all sushi bars are created equal. Sure, Colorado has a bunch of great places to get sushi. However, there is only one location that I constantly find myself daydreaming about.

One Colorado Sushi Restaurant Stands Above the Rest

Being in the landlocked state of Colorado presents challenges in getting the freshest seafood possible, but one Colorado sushi restaurant sets the bar higher than just about anywhere else.

This sushi bar has been operating in Denver for more than four decades, and hungry customers from all over come to experience some of the freshest fish you can find in the state.

Sushi Den is one of those restaurants that is a true special-occasion spot for me. It has been a couple of years since my last visit for my birthday. To this day, when I think about sushi, the only thing that pops into my memory is the otoro nigiri, a rich slice of fatty tuna on a small pillow of perfectly seasoned sushi rice at Sushi Den. It was delicious.
