Climbing A Milestone At The Lookout Mountain Conservancy

In 1991, the Lookout Mountain Conservancy – then called the Lookout Mountain Protection Agency – became one of the very first land trusts here in Tennessee.

It started with three acres in St. Elmo – a small group banded together to protect it from development.

Today, the Conservancy protects more than 1,500 acres of land, including some of the most biologically diverse habitats in North America…
