Evansville man arrested after methamphetamine found during airport security screening

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — A man faces felony charges after Transportation Security Administration agents reportedly discovered methamphetamine hidden on his person at the Evansville Regional Airport Tuesday morning.

A trooper with the Indiana State Police was stationed at the airport checkpoint around 6:30 a.m. when TSA representatives requested additional screening for a passenger who alarmed the screening device. The passenger, identified as 54-year-old Steven M. McKeethen, allegedly became evasive and moved away when agents attempted to search near his inner thigh.
