Chris O’Neal arrested in connection with Malibu burglary

Chris O’Neal, the actor who built his career on youth television, was arrested Monday morning after Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a burglary call at a Malibu residence.

According to law enforcement sources, deputies received the call at approximately 5:45 a.m. after a homeowner reviewed security footage and spotted three adults inside the property without authorization. The caller told officers the individuals had entered through the rear of the home and appeared to have tampered with the surveillance system, cutting off any further visibility into what occurred inside.

O’Neal, 31, was identified among those taken into custody at the scene. He was subsequently booked into the Los Angeles County Jail. He was released Tuesday afternoon. No charges have been formally confirmed, and the investigation remains ongoing.

O’Neal first gained recognition playing Kevin Reed on the Nickelodeon series How to Rock, which earned him a following among youth audiences.
