Memphis police seek robbery, kidnapping suspect who forced victim to ATM at gunpoint

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) -Memphis Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect accused of robbery and kidnapping last Wednesday.

Officers said the incident happened around 3:30 p.m. when a suspect approached a home on Beechmont Street near North Watkins Street. Police said the suspect pointed a gun at a victim who was doing construction at the home and demanded money.

The suspect then forced the victim to drive to an ATM and withdraw cash. Police said the suspect later told the victim to drop him off on Driftwood Avenue near North Watkins Street, where the suspect got out of the vehicle with the victim’s money, other property and the victim’s bicycle.
