A Wildwood man in an unregistered, uninsured vehicle was arrested after a traffic stop in The Villages.
Deputies observed 26-year-old Stone Joseph Murray driving a gray 2012 Dodge Avenger eastbound in The Villages at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. The vehicle did not have a license plate attached, leading to a traffic stop at the intersection of County Road 466A and Canal Street.
When asked for his vehicle documents, Murray stated he did not have registration or insurance because he could not afford either. He instead handed over his license and the bill of sale for the vehicle, which he bought one week prior. A subsequent computer check confirmed the vehicle was unregistered, the report said…
