A man was found shot Tuesday morning on the 4000 block of Watt Avenue, just north of Auburn Boulevard, and Sacramento County sheriff’s deputies are still searching for the person who pulled the trigger.
The victim was discovered at the scene and is expected to survive, officials said. Detectives have not yet shared what they believe led up to the gunfire, and for now the circumstances around the shooting remain publicly unclear.
According to KCRA Channel 3 Sacramento, deputies responded to reports of shots fired on the 4000 block of Watt Avenue and found a man who had been hit by gunfire. The sheriff’s office told reporters that the man is expected to survive and that deputies are actively searching for the gunman. So far, the department has declined to release a suspect description or discuss a possible motive.
A stretch of road with a history of violence
