UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (DC News Now) — Police arrested a man who they say was armed with a loaded gun at the Upper Marlboro Courthouse on Wednesday.
The Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office said in a release that around 2:30 p.m., a security officer spotted a black backpack while screening visitors who were entering the courthouse. The X-ray machine showed that the bag seemed to contain a gun.

Officials instantly detained the person who put the bag on the machine. Deputies searched the bag, finding a fully loaded semi-automatic handgun.
