The Price of Progress: Montgomery Co. budget has no major cuts, but tax increases

ROCKVILLE, Md. — If you live in Montgomery County, your wallet might feel a bit lighter next year.

County Executive Marc Elrich officially unveiled his $8.019 billion operating budget Friday, which comes with a double hit for taxpayers: a proposed increase in both property and income taxes.
