VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A fourth suspect was arrested in connection with the March 7 shooting at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront, according to VBPD.

Alex G. Scott Jr. was arrested Wednesday and charged with eight counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony, six counts of felony reckless handling of a firearm, five counts of aggravated malicious wounding, attempted robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and attempted malicious wounding.
Officers patrolling the Oceanfront heard shots fired in the 1800 block of Atlantic Avenue at approximately 9:50 p.m. March 7. Six people — five men and one woman — suffered non life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Previously, three men were arrested in relation to the shooting. Matheus Cavalcante, 18, turned himself in at a Virginia Beach police precinct and was charged with six counts of reckless handling of a firearm, six counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, five counts of aggravated malicious wounding, and malicious wounding.

Jamari Horton, 22, and Andrew Anthony, 19, were subsequently arrested.
