A Brunswick County board has made the final decision on one of two previously denied planned developments slated to bring thousands of residents, and some commercial space, to northern Brunswick.
The Brunswick County Planning Board on March 9 held public hearings and votes on the proposed 1,340 residential unit Green Hill Planned Development and the Cherrytree Tract, a 1,000-unit and commercial development. While one earned board approval, the other was pushed another month.
Winnabow and county residents voiced concerns about both projects being a risk to public health and safety, as roads are already filled with traffic and occasional flood waters.
