Clear Creek Amana school resource officer debate heads to county vote

JOHNSON COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) – The Clear Creek Amana School Board has unanimously approved adding a school resource officer (SRO) for the next school year, but the decision now rests with the Johnson County Board of Supervisors.

Because the SRO would be a Johnson County sheriff’s deputy, the county must also approve the arrangement. A majority of supervisors have indicated they oppose it.
