EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 62-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday, March 17, in El Paso’s Lower Valley, after failing to pay child support, according to the El Paso County Constable’s Office Precinct 3.
The Constable’s Office says on Tuesday, deputies received information of an active warrant for 62-year-old Benjamin Mata for failing to pay child support.
Mata had failed to appear in court, disregarding the court’s child support order. He was previously arrested in September of last year for the same charge, the Constable’s Office said.
The Constable’s Office adds that Mata was arrested in 2013 and twice in 2015 for the same charge. Mata owes over $17,000 in child support…
