El Paso breaks ground on $15M Phase II expansion of Beast Urban Park

EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso is moving forward with a major expansion of The Beast Urban Park on the city’s Eastside, with a public groundbreaking ceremony planned for Phase II of the project.

The City of El Paso Capital Improvement and Parks and Recreation departments held a groundbreaking event on Wednesday as construction began on the $15 million Phase II expansion.

The project will add 650,000 square feet to the park’s complex and include four diamond fields with dugout shelters, 10 pickleball courts, two handball courts, two sand volleyball courts, two basketball courts, bleachers, and bike racks…
