MINNEAPOLIS — Following consumer demand, General Mills is bringing the fan-favorite La Tiara brand of crispy taco shells back to stores. The CPG company acquired La Tiara in May 2025 with the goal of reviving it and creating more than 100 new jobs.
“We’ve answered the call from an incredibly engaged group of local superfans,” said Meredith Nelson Uram, Mexican business unit director for General Mills. “We’re not just bringing back a cherished product. We’re reigniting a legacy, creating jobs and — for the first time — making the crunch of a La Tiara taco shell available to families across the country. We’re thrilled for the next chapter of La Tiara.”
