Wellington Council unanimously votes to open dialogue with Cormer for development of a Tier IV Data Center

Sumner Newscow report — The Wellington City Council unanimously voted at Tuesday night’s meeting to enter into a sales agreement regarding the proposed Tier IV Data Center, to be built north of the city limits near the Wellington Humane Society (see story here).

The energy sales agreement will be between the city of Wellington and Cormer, the company wanting to build the data center, for the purpose of developing a Tier IV Data Center. This was a motion to simply open up dialogue with the company. Nothing was resolved.
