The Newberg City Council has approved increases in the rates homeowners and businesses will pay for city utilities over the next two years.
After a unanimous vote March 16, the average ratepayer can expect to pay an additional $5.12 per month on utilities beginning in 2027 — up 2.8% from last year’s rates, according to the city. Between additional rate increases to water, sewer, stormwater and transportation utility fees, residents will pay another $3.14 per month on top of that come 2028.
