‘Really scary’ landslide at Waimea Bay creates safety hazard, traffic delays

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The western end of Waimea Bay is known for its iconic, nearshore rock that many jump from into the water.

But last week’s storm left another eye-catching sight — a large landslide that prompted closures of the above Kamehameha Highway, as well as a portion of the beach near the chipped hill that is now taped off.
