Arrest made in downtown Riverside double homicide

Detectives with the Riverside Police Department have arrested a suspect in connection with a double homicide that occurred in downtown Riverside on Thursday, March 12, 2026, around 2:28 a.m. Officers responded to reports of a person down near 12th Street and Main Street, where they found an adult male victim. A second victim was later found on Orange Street, south of 12th Street. Both victims, identified as Richard Hinds (54) and Corrina Segovia (57), were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators determined that Cesar Aguirre (28) of Perris fatally stabbed both victims in separate, unprovoked attacks. Aguirre was later arrested at his residence and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on two counts of murder, with bail set at $2 million.
