(WXIN/WTTV) — U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana Tom Wheeler said there are two distinct advantages why local prosecutors and cops refer repeat violent offenders to his office for prosecution of gun crimes.
”We can get them for simply having that gun as a felon in possession,” he said. “Number two, part of its serving time. You’re gonna serve most of your sentence on the federal side.”
