New push for rail crossing safety by Mobile law enforcement

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Four fatal collisions have resulted in six deaths over the past seven months since Amtrak’s Mardi Gras service returned to the Gulf Coast after a 20-year hiatus.

Recently in Biloxi, a man walking across the train tracks was hit and killed.

Visit Mobile, the City of Mobile Mayor’s office and the Department of Public Safety partnered with the Mobile Police Department and Mobile Fire Rescue to produce this short, informative video explaining safety rules and tips to educate our community about remaining vigilant around Mobile’s expanding infrastructure…
