Sixth grader sets new record at Albert Hill Middle School Pi Bee, recites 172 digits of pi

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A sixth-grade student at Albert Hill Middle School won the school’s annual Pi Bee, and set a new record for the most digits of pi recited.

School officials said that El Koubi recited 172 digits of pi, setting a new Albert Hill Pi Bee record.

In recognition of his achievement, RPS said El Koubi received a certificate and pizza “pi.”
