Man charged in Providence crash that injured assistant attorney general

An assistant attorney general in Rhode Island was injured Wednesday night when his car was struck by another car that was being pursued by Providence police.

Police said in a statement that an officer at Manton and Plainfield avenues saw a car with no headlights on speeding down Westminster Street at about 11:12 p.m.
