Dairy Queen celebrates spring with free ice cream cones on March 19

(WPRI) — Do you have a craving for ice cream?

Participating Dairy Queen locations across the country are offering free vanilla soft-serve cones on March 19, 2026, as part of the company’s annual Free Cone Day.

“Free Cone Day is all about celebrating the simple joys – warmer weather, a classic vanilla cone and the happiness that comes from sharing a smile,” Dairy Queen’s Executive Vice President of Marketing Maria Hokanson said in a press release. “There’s something truly special about seeing people light up over a free cone, and this year, we’re excited to give away more cones and create more happy moments for our fans than ever before.”

Ice cream fans in southeastern New England can get their free cones at Dairy Queen restaurants in Cranston, North Attleboro, Foxboro, or Bellingham — while supplies last. (The Dairy Queen/Orange Julius at the Providence Place mall will only have free vanilla cones available to customers who make a purchase, according to the promotion’s rules.)…
