Potential measles exposure reported at San Diego hospital

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — San Diego County public health officials said people may have been exposed to measles at a local hospital last week.

On Wednesday, the county sent out a notification to the community, saying anyone who was at the Sharp Memorial Hospital emergency room on Frost Street in San Diego may have been exposed to measles.

The date of possible exposure was last Wednesday, March 11.

Officials said an adult visiting from outside of California who was not vaccinated against measles visited the emergency room that day during the infectious period and was evaluated for fever. However, they had no other symptoms associated with measles…
