San Rafael: Woman Fatally Stabbed At Homeless Encampment Last Weekend Identified

A woman fatally stabbed at a homeless encampment in San Rafael last weekend has been identified by the Marin County Coroner’s Office as 28-year-old Alexis Ione Hines.

San Rafael police officers responded around 6:15 p.m. Saturday to a report of an unresponsive woman on Andersen Drive , between Lindaro and Irwin streets, where they found Hines suffering from stab wounds, police said. San Rafael firefighters provided first aid, but Hines was pronounced dead at the scene.
