Driver dies in crash on Capital Beltway in Prince George’s County

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Traffic was delayed along Interstate 495 in the College Park area during Wednesday’s morning commute after a crash left one person dead, according to officials.

Maryland State Police said it responded to the single-vehicle crash shortly before 9:15 a.m., on the Capital Beltway’s inner loop, at the Interstate 95 northbound ramp (Exit 27).

The driver, who was the only one in the vehicle at the time, died at the scene.
