Every Wednesday evening in downtown Newark, the historic Hahne & Co. building transforms. Inside CoolVines Newark at 625 Broad Street, a quiet hallway fills with residents toggling between DJ channels on wireless headphones and sipping local cider.
This is Members Only Happy Hour, a weekly staple created by Isaiah “Zay” Little, founder of GalleryRetail. For nearly four years, this event has blended music, community-supported agriculture (of the cultural variety), and social experimentation to create what Little calls “Newark’s Cheers.”
