‘BAM’: Riviera Beach victim describes split-second moment gunman fired into his truck

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A survivor of Monday’s deadly Riviera Beach shooting is now speaking out, describing the moment he says a gunman ran into traffic, approached his truck — and opened fire at point-blank range.

Anthony Evans, one of several victims shot during the violence outside Azure Estates along Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, walked CBS12 News reporter Katie Bente through the scene where it all happened.

“I was coming up and I seen an individual run out into the street,” Evans said, pointing to the roadway. “My first instinct was someone was in trouble. When I look again, I see a gun.”…
