Federal indictment targets alleged Homietos motorcycle gang in Houston

HOUSTON, Texas — A federal grand jury has issued a superseding indictment against 17 alleged members and associates of the Homietos outlaw motorcycle gang, accusing them of racketeering conspiracy and other violent crimes.

The indictment charges several individuals with racketeering murder, attempted murder, assault, and firearms offenses, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Ralph Eugene Kellum, a 42-year-old from Vidor, is scheduled to appear before U.S. Magistrate Judge Christina A. Bryan on March 19. Romeo Jose Ferrer, a 36-year-old from Kingsville, is expected to appear in Corpus Christi, while Mark Anthony Magallan, a 51-year-old from Houston, will have a detention hearing the same day.

“The indictment alleges a pattern of violence, intimidation and murder to expand the reach of a criminal enterprise and settle scores on our streets and highways,” said Acting U.S. Attorney John G.E. Marck. “That kind of lawlessness has no place in the Southern District of Texas.”…
