Amarillo, Texas – Temperatures are surging toward record-breaking levels across the Texas Panhandle, with highs approaching 100 degrees by Saturday afternoon before a sharp cooldown arrives within 48 hours.
According to the National Weather Service in Amarillo, highs will climb from the upper 80s and mid-90s Thursday and Friday into the 93 to 100 degree range Saturday. These readings are running more than 20 degrees above normal for mid-March and could challenge daily records across the region…
