Arkansas woman pleads guilty to Medicaid fraud

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A woman from Arkansas has pleaded guilty to Medicaid fraud.

Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin said 37-year-old Jacqueline Small of Rector pleaded guilty last week to one count of Medicaid fraud, a Class B felony.

Officials with the attorney’s general office said Small improperly billed Medicaid for the services she never provided.

“Addressing Medicaid fraud in Arkansas remains a top priority, and my office will continue working to hold those who abuse the system accountable,” Griffin said.

She was sentenced to a five-year term of probation, a $500 fine plus court fees, and restitution totaling $7,427.38…
