Richmond train derailment: Most crossings reopen as cleanup begins

RICHMOND, Texas — A 23-car train derailment in Richmond is now moving into a recovery phase after initially blocking crossings across the city and causing widespread traffic disruptions on Wednesday morning.

The derailment happened along Highway 90 near OakBend Hospital at the Richmond-Rosenberg city limits, prompting a large, multi-agency emergency response.
