St. Louis ice cream chain raises $6 million to fuel national franchise expansion

ST. LOUIS — Clementine’s Naughty and Nice Creamery, the St. Louis-based retailer and wholesaler of ice cream known for its specialty and alcohol-infused ice cream flavors, has completed a $6 million funding round to drive national franchising.

Next Phase Capital, a Nashville, Tennessee-based growth investment firm, was the lead investor in the round, according to a recent news release. Next Phase was founded by Shelly Sun Berkowitz, who was behind BrightStar Care, a $750 million national in-home health care franchise.
