ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – It was another wintry start to the day with Rockford officially recording 1.1″ of snow at the airport. Clouds broke and gave way to sunshine and with the help of a southwesterly wind temperatures were able to climb into the upper 30s to lower 40s. Certainly, a nice chance of pace considering the last couple of days highs were in the twenties with wind chills in the single digits. Temperatures tonight will also be a bit milder in the lower 30s, and with calm winds, wind chills shouldn’t be much of a factor as you head out the door early Thursday morning.
