Robotic surgery saves Omaha woman’s kidney after 2-pound stone found during ER visit

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – An Omaha woman’s trip to the emergency room for a ruptured appendix led to the discovery of a two-pound kidney stone — and a first-of-its-kind robotic surgery in Nebraska that saved her kidney.

Chrissi Anderson said a normal Friday night dinner with her family turned into an ER visit after she began feeling pain in her right side.
