LUBBOCK, Texas –Malachi Garcia is a 10-year-old boy who was diagnosed with hearing loss at the age of two having to wear hearing aids.
“It was interesting. It was actually really awesome. It definitely changed a lot of our lives. Like learning that he had the hearing loss, we all, you know, my mom, she went to college and she minored in ASL way before he was even born. And so that was like I feel like that was kind of God preparing us,” Bree Garcia said.
Over the Holidays last year, his hearing aids stopped working. His family wanted to get him a new pair, but the insurance company they were with did not want to cover them…
