Shreveport man pleads guilty to manslaughter after hung jury in second-degree murder case

A man whose September trial for second-degree murder which ended with a hung jury has now entered a guilty plea to the charge of manslaughter.

Kevin Lamone Hunter, 24, was sentenced by Caddo District Judge Ramona Emanuel to 30 years in prison. The case resulted from the 2023 shooting death of Jotrevius Hawthorne, 18.
