Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center among National Academy of Inventors Top 100

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The National Academy of Inventors has ranked the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center 70th among the Top 100 U.S. Universities for granted utility patents for 2025, marking its fourth consecutive year in the rankings.

According to TTUHSC officials, in 2025, the TTU System was granted 26 patents. Of the issued patents, TTUHSC researchers contributed to nine.

The NAI created the Top 100 U.S. Universities Granted Utility Patents list to highlight and celebrate U.S. academic institutions that play a significant role in advancing innovation by securing their intellectual property through patents.
