(MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo.) — Old Colorado City said Mountain Metropolitan Transit is piloting a new free bus route connecting Colorado Springs to Manitou Springs.
According to Old Colorado City, starting on March 29, a new fare-free bus route called Route 3 will connect Downtown Colorado Springs, Old Colorado City, and Manitou Springs. The route will be a loop running through the west side of Colorado Springs and will travel directly through Old Colorado City, making it easier for the community and visitors to explore the area without worrying about parking or transportation costs.
The free service is being supported by the Cities of Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs and will run for a year as a pilot program, with the potential to continue if successful.
