‘Small Explosion’ Lifts Roof Off Colorado Townhome, Displaces Family

A Colorado family has been displaced after a “small” but “powerful” explosion blew out windows and doors and lifted the roof of their townhome Monday evening.

West Metro Fire said crews responded to a two-story townhome on 17th Place near Robb Street in Lakewood Monday evening after “several’ 911 callers reported hearing a loud noise. They arrived to find a “small explosion” had occurred while the family was inside.

Photos shared by the fire department show damaged windows and doors. One person sustained minor injuries…
