University of Oregon tuition to increase for 2026-27 academic year

OREGON — The University of Oregon is moving forward with a proposal to raise tuition for the 2026–27 academic year, according to materials presented to its Board of Trustees during its March meeting. The plan outlines increases across undergraduate, graduate, and fee categories, continuing a pricing model that guarantees tuition rates for incoming students over a five-year period.

Under the proposal, undergraduate tuition for in-state students would increase by 4.5%, while out-of-state students would see a smaller 3% rise. Graduate tuition changes would vary by program, with increases ranging from no change up to 4%. In addition, mandatory student fees are expected to rise by just under 3%.

That works out to about 14 dollars more per credit hour for Oregon residents, bringing annual tuition to roughly $14, 500 dollars. For out-of-state students, the increase is about 43 dollars more per credit, with yearly tuition climbing to more than $44 thousand dollars…
