The City of Reno is increasing support for local programs through the One Nevada Recovery Special Revenue Fund, helping organizations that provide mental health services, domestic violence support, and other community resources.
Mayor Hillary Schieve emphasized that mental health challenges and domestic violence often occur together, and addressing these issues requires a broad, coordinated approach.
“The Domestic Violence Resource Center is often the first place women turn to for help,” Schieve said. “Many of the people they assist are facing difficult circumstances, and providing support in these moments is critical.”…
